What do you do?

We take furniture apart so it fits through doorways, stairwells, and elevators, then rebuild it on the other side. Sofas, sectionals, beds, armoires, dining tables — anything that measured fine in the showroom and doesn't fit in the hallway. The piece goes in, and when we leave it looks and sits exactly as it did before.

What makes you different from a moving crew?

Most furniture is built to be assembled once and never taken apart again. Glued frames, stapled upholstery, welded joints, one-piece hardwood construction — no bolts, no manual, no seams meant to be opened. That's the work we specialize in. We open the piece where it can be opened without weakening it, get it through, and rebuild it so the join holds and doesn't show. A moving crew is trained to carry things; we're trained to take them apart.

How do I know if I need this?

Measure the narrowest point on the route — the door opening with the door off its hinges, the turn at the top of the stairs, the elevator diagonal — and compare it to the piece's smallest dimension when tilted on its side. If the gap is under two inches, call us. Send photos of the piece and the tight spot and we'll tell you for free whether you need us.

What can you take apart?

Sofas and sectionals, sleeper sofas and sofa beds, armchairs and recliners, headboards and bed frames, wardrobes and armoires, dining tables, desks, and pool tables. Bolted pieces are the easy half of the job. The pieces we're known for are the ones with no fasteners at all — glued, stapled, or welded frames that no one else will touch. Send photos and we'll tell you exactly where it opens.

Is there anything you won't take apart?

Very little, but we'll say no when the honest answer is no — a piece where the frame can't be reopened without losing its structure, or where the work costs more than the furniture is worth. Fragile antiques get quoted case by case rather than turned away. You'll hear that before you book, not after we arrive.

Do you move the furniture too?

We handle the piece through the tight spots and place it where you want it. We're not a moving company — if you need a truck and a crew, we work alongside your movers and can recommend ones we trust. Plenty of our jobs are booked by the moving company itself, on the morning they realize the sofa isn't going in.

Send photos of the piece and the tightest point on the route to [phone / email / booking link]. You'll get a flat quote back the same day. If the answer is that you don't need us, we'll tell you that too.
